from last weekend at the beach...

creativity bootcamp is starting this sunday and i joined the flickr group for the class today. it got me thinking about all the photos still sitting in my camera from the weekend, and i was inspired. i loved this one too much to pass it up for bsm. (working 12-hr days on sunday and monday is really messing with my posting!?!?)

okay, so this was actually taken LAST monday...i cannot tell a lie.  and it was taken from the passenger-side, through the car to the driver's window, going about 76 mph.   gotta love it.

okay, so i can't pick just one for my best shot monday...but i figure since they're so different, it's allowed.  when i was in college, my family came to visit me at my university in england.  we traveled europe for a few weeks and stopped in venice.  my dad picked out this vase and was soooo proud of it.  it sits on his computer desk now and i'm loving the afternoon light show above.

these are from my mom's china cabinet...no one ever looks in there, including me...so it was so fun to get them out for their first photo shoot.  i'm not a real "still life" kinda gal, but for some reason i love how this shot turned out.  you can't tell from the image, but they are so petite...the cup is about the size of a shot glass.

over the weekend i decided that i wanted to attempt a "best shot monday" post each week, to get moving with the new camera. well, i completely forgot--yesterday was crazy-- so i’m a little late. but i took a trip across the street to the bayou tonight after dinner...the sun was setting, it was such a nice change from my usual evenings. and yes, i realize that it's tuesday...i promise i'll get the hang of this soon.
